Chubb Fire has won an extensive new contract with national greetings card retailer, Card Factory, to supply all new shops with fire extinguishers.

Card Factory has been on the UK's high streets for over thirteen years. Selling greetings cards, gifts, plush items, novelties, gift wrap, the company prides itself on delivering quality products at value for money prices. Based in Wakefield, the company currently has approximately 490 stores nationwide and employs in the region of 5,000 people.

The new contract builds on a good working relationship first established in 2007 when Chubb tendered for the contract to supply secure monitoring of the fire alarms for one of its warehouses, linked through to the fire alarm receiving centre which alerts the emergency services. “Based on this good work we then agreed a servicing contract for the fire extinguishers”, says Joanne Sheffield Store Opening Manager at the Card Factory, “We have been very impressed with Chubb Fire’s working practices and thorough knowledge, its reputation precedes it for good reason.

“From day one we have been pleased with the level of service and professionalism of all of Chubb’s engineers and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
Chubb was asked to quote for the Head Office and two other warehouses’ fire alarm monitoring, fire alarm and fire extinguishers, and supplied portable fire extinguishers to 10 new trial stores. To reward its good work, Chubb was awarded the business to supply fire extinguishers to all new stores and the servicing contracts throughout.

Jane Garland, Marketing Communications Manager at Chubb Fire adds: “Fire protection in any business is imperative, but even more so when protecting members of the public as well as staff. The Card Factory’s various premises have a significant amount of flammable material in them, so it is key to use every facet of fire prevention to reduce the risk of incident and Chubb is pleased to be able to help.”
