Cleaning Up With New Range of Spill Containment and Control Products

Kidde spill products come in two categories: oil only for hydrocarbon spills and maintenance, used for absorbing oil and water-based fluids

Kidde Fire Protection Services, the UK's leading provider of fire extinguishing and alarm systems, announces the launch of a range of spill containment and control products.

Specifically designed with safety in mind, the Kidde spill products come in two categories: oil only for hydrocarbon spills on either land or water, and maintenance, used for absorbing oil and water-based fluids including non-aggressive chemicals.

The spill products range includes absorbent rolls, heavy weight pads, pillow/drip pan combinations, and socs - useful for moulding around corners and conforming to uneven surfaces. These individual items are also available in kit form, from the Economy Spill Kit which absorbs up to 18 litres, to the Emergency Spill Sak, with a capacity to absorb up to 42 litres. At the top of the range are the Mobile Response Cart, a kit containing roll, socs, pillows, gloves, goggles and disposal bags, and the 120 and 240 litre mobile Wheelies, packed with the full complement of spill products.

Says Peter Freestone, Marketing Manager for Kidde Fire Protection Services: "Kidde Fire Protection Services is a single source supply for a comprehensive range of fire protection and safety products and related services. The addition of spill control absorbents reflects our policy of continually improving and developing the depth and breadth of our offering and emphasises our commitment to total customer safety in the workplace."

Available from Kidde Fire Protection Services branches throughout Great Britain and Ireland, using the new range of spill containment and control products will not only ensure that sites are clean and safe but also that customers comply with a variety of legislations including ISO1400 (continuous improvement), the Integrated Control of Pollution Act and COSHH CHIP3.
